vietu.lt ("we", "us") is a real estate price heatmap service for Lithuania. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. Data We Collect

When you sign in with Google we receive from Google:

• Your name and email address
• Your profile picture URL
• A unique Google account identifier

When you use the service we also collect:

• Saved filter presets and favourite properties you create
• Anonymous usage events (pages visited, features used) via PostHog analytics
• Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) retained for up to 30 days

Sign-in is optional. You can browse the heatmap and use most features without an account.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To save and sync your filter presets and favourite properties across devices
• To identify your session and keep you signed in
• To understand how the service is used and improve it (analytics)
• To detect and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

3. Third-Party Processors

• Supabase — authentication and database (EU region). Your account data and saved content are stored here.
• Google OAuth — used only for sign-in. We do not access any Google service on your behalf after sign-in.
• PostHog — product analytics (EU region). Events are pseudonymous and linked to your user ID, not your email.
• Cloudflare — CDN and edge infrastructure. Cloudflare processes requests and may log IP addresses.

4. Data Retention

Your account data (saved filters, favourites) is kept until you delete your account or request deletion. Anonymous analytics events are retained for 12 months. Server logs are deleted after 30 days.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in. PostHog sets a persistent analytics cookie. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features (sign-in, saved preferences) will not work without them.

7. Children

This service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date.
